DONNIE AVERY COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS
Became the fifth player in school history to amass over 4,000 all-purpose yards (4,213) in a career…4,213 yards rank eighth in Conference USA history and third among wide receivers…ranks fourth in Houston history with 210 receptions, seventh on the Conference USA career-record list gained 3,289 receiving yards, only third player in school history to gain over 3,000 receiving yards in career 19 touchdowns rank sixth in school history.

SENIOR (2007): Donnie Avery Led Conference USA and ranked fourth in the nation with 112.0 receiving yards per game…tallied 1,880 all-purpose yards, fourth best in school history…ranks second in single-season receiving yards in school history and set a Conference USA record with 1,456 yards…led the Cougars with a career-high 91 receptions that rank seventh in school history for a single season, ranks third in Conference USA history his 28.3-yard return average ranks third in school record books for a single season led the conference and tied for 14th in the nation averaging seven catches per game…started 11 of 13 games.
• Consensus All-Conference USA first-team choice as a receiver, adding second-team honors as a return specialist.
• Became the first player in Conference USA to gain more than 300 receiving yards in a game when he posted 346 yards against Rice…his 427 all-purpose yards in that game set a school and conference record…the 427 yards rank fifth in NCAA history.
• 100-yard kickoff return against East Carolina tied for longest in Conference USA history.
• Sixty catches produced first downs.

JUNIOR (2006): Donnie Avery Started 12 of 14 games…finished second on the team and 10th in the conference with 57 receptions for 852 yards and five touchdowns...returned six kickoffs for 113 yards and gained 965 all-purpose yards.
• Made three catches for 113 yards against Tulsa.

SOPHOMORE (2005): Donnie Avery Played in 12 games, starting 10…ranked third on the team with 44 receptions for 688 yards and five touchdowns…collected 704 all-purpose yards.
• Caught four passes for 100 yards and one touchdown in the season opener against Oregon.
• Caught eight passes for 112 yards and one touchdown against Memphis.
• Made three receptions for 111 yards and one touchdown at Central Florida.

FRESHMAN (2004): Donnie Avery Named to the Conference USA All-Freshman team…Started 11 games as a redshirt freshman finishing fourth on the team with 18 catches for 343 yards and three punt returns for 28 yards (9.3 avg.)

• Attended Hastings High School in Alief, Texas.
