• 49er Free agent Billy Bajema visits the Rams

  A seventh-round draft pick by the 49ers in 2005, Bajema has appeared in 61 NFL game with 26 starts. Most of those starts have come as part of two tight end sets with Vernon Davis. Bajema has caught only seven passes for 88 yards in the NFL.... • Anthony Becht, Tight End released from the Rams

  St Louis Ram's mastermind Billy Devaney and Coach Steve spagnuolo continue to build a championship roster with the release Thursday of veteran tight end Anthony Becht. A nine-year NFL veteran, Becht spent just one season with the St Louis Rams and was used mostly as a blocker (and didn't really do too well at it). He played in all 16 games in 2008, with 11 starts. • Top Free Agent Tight Ends

  Joe Klopfenstein became the starter when Randy McMichael was hurt and the former second round pick finished with just 11 grabs for 123 yards – yeah that is not good. Daniel Fells, a tight end signed away from Tampa Bay finished with seven catches for 81 yards. Anthony Becht, tossed in another 6 catches for 39 yards. All four players remain under contract as the St Louis Rams get ready for free agency on February 27, 2009. ...
