JOSH BROWN - PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

March 1, 2008 – signed as a free agent by St. Louis, April 2003 – drafted by Seattle in the seventh round (222nd overall) of the 2003 NFL Draft.

PROFESSIONAL: Selected with the eighth pick in the seventh round (222nd overall) by Seattle in the 2003 draft…only sixth time Seattle has drafted a kicker…has six career game-winning field goals (final minute of regulation or overtime).

2007 SEASON: Scored 100 or more points for a club record fifth season…passed Todd Peterson (555) for fourth place on Seattle’s all-time scoring list with 571 points…ranked third in the NFC, sixth in the NFL with 127 points.
• In Week 6 vs. New Orleans 10/14, had a 44-yard field goal attempt blocked, halting a streak of 15 consecutive field goals made dating back to 2006…connected on a 52-yard field goal marking his 11th career field goal from at least 50 yards, a Seattle record.
• Made a season-high four field goals in Week 7 against St. Louis 10/21.
2006 SEASON: Tied an NFL record with four game-winning field goals in the final minute of regulation or overtime (42 at Detroit 9/10, 54 at St. Louis 10/15, 38 vs. St. Louis 11/12, 50 at Denver 12/3)…54-yard game winner at St. Louis is fifth longest in NFL history…twice named Special Teams Player of the Week and named NFC Pro Bowl alternate…set club record with fourth-consecutive 100-point season (2003-2006).
• Connected on three of four attempts at St. Louis 10/5, including two 49-yarders and the game winner from 54 yards.
• Made all four field goals against Green Bay 11/27.
• In freezing temperatures at Denver 12/3, connected on three of five field goals including the game winner from 50 yards, 10th career field goal from at least 50 yards.

2005 SEASON: Connected on 18 of 25 field goal attempts and finished fifth in the NFC in scoring among kickers (110 points)…attempted a club-record eight field goals of 50 yards or more and tied Norm Johnson’s 1986 club record connecting on five…the only kicker in Seattle history to make two field goals of 50 or more in the same game twice in a season.
• Made all three of his first attempts of the season against Arizona 9/25.
• Earned NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors against Dallas 10/23, after kicking a 55-yarder, second longest of his career and a game-winning 50-yarder as time expired.
• Voted Pro Bowl alternate.

2004 SEASON: Connected on a career-high 23 field goals in 25 attempts…set a club record for highest field-goal percentage in a season (.920)…percentage led the NFC, second in the NFL among kickers with at least five attempts…finished third in the NFC with 109 points…tied club record with 16 consecutive field goals made.
• Made first career punt against St. Louis 10/10 due to injury to P Tom Rouen…a 35-yarder.
• Converted four field goals on four attempts at New England 10/17.
• Converted a season-long 54-yarder at Arizona 10/24.

2003 SEASON: Set Seahawks rookie scoring record with 114 points and made second highest total in club history…led all rookie kickers in scoring and finished fourth in NFC, eighth in the NFL…connected on 22 of 30 field goal attempts and was perfect on all 48 extra point tries.
• Set franchise record with 58-yard field goal at Green Bay 10/5...ninth longest in NFL history and second longest by a rookie.
• Opened season and career with at least one field goal in nine consecutive games.

JOSH BROWN - COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS

• Finished third on Nebraska’s all-time scoring list with 315 points.
• As a senior, All-Big 12 Conference first-team selection by the league’s coaches and the Kansas City Star, adding second-team honors from the Associated Press after leading the team with 88 points, connecting on 14 of 18 field goals and all 46 extra points attempts.
• Scored 75 points during sophomore season and was successful on five of 10 field goals and set a school record with 60 consecutive extra points.
• Booted a 51-yarder and set an NCAA bowl record as he connected on all nine extra-point attempts versus Northwestern in the Alamo Bowl.
• Majored in communications.  

JOSH BROWN - PERSONAL INFO

• Attended Foyil (Okla.) High School and played running back, safety, punter and
placekicker…also returned punts and kickoffs.
• Made a career-long 61-yard field goal in the state playoffs.
• As a running back, rushed for 1,891yards and 51 touchdowns, playing eight-man football.
• Totaled 9,136 career all-purpose yards and 122 career touchdowns.
• Four-year letterman in both football and track and earned three basketball letters.
• Two-time Class A state champion in the high jump, clearing a career-best of 6-8 at the state meet in both 1997 and 1998.
