Leonard Little - one of the best defensive lineman in the NFL moved to defensive end in 2001 after playing first three seasons at linebacker finished second in the NFL with 14.5 sacks in 2001 has 75.0 career sacks, most in franchise history since NFL made statistic official in 1982 ranks sixth among active players in sacks ranks fourth in sacks since 2000 ranks third in St. Louis Rams’ history in most seasons leading the team in sacks (five).

2007 PRO NFL SEASON: Played and started first seven games of season at defensive end despite being hampered by a toe injury declared inactive for Week 8 contest vs. Cleveland due to toe injury before being placed on reserve/injured list finished season with 23 tackles, including 1.0 sack, and one forced fumble.
• Made a season-high six tackles in Week 2 vs. San Francisco.
• Posted only sack of season in Week 6 at Baltimore 11/14 forced fumble on sack of QB Kyle Boller that was recovered by DE Victor Adeyanju and returned 24 yards to set up a St. Louis Rams’ field goal attempt.

2006 PRO NFL SEASON: Started all 16 games led the team with 13.0 sacks (tied for second in the NFC, tied for fifth in the NFL).
• Had 2.0 sacks vs. Denver, his 13th career multi-sack game also had one forced fumble, the 24th of his career.
• Recorded 2.0 sacks and a forced fumble on QB Brett Favre with 0:44 left in the game to seal a win at Green Bay 10/8, his 14th career multi-sack game.
• Made 2.0 sacks vs. Kansas City, marking his 15th career multi-sack game.
• Recorded 2.0 sacks and a forced fumble (27th of career) that was recovered and returned 89 yards for a touchdown by DE Victor Adeyanju in the first quarter of contest at Seattle game marked 16th career multi-sack game.
• Recorded 2.0 sacks at Oakland game marked 17th career multi-sack contest.

2005 PRO NFL SEASON: Led Rams with 9.5 sacks.
• Led defense with nine tackles (four solo), 2.0 sacks, and two forced fumbles at San Francisco
• Season-high 11 tackles (eight solo) vs. Washington.
• Four solo tackles, 2.0 tackles, three QB pressures, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery vs. Philadelphia.
• Eight tackles (five solo), one pass defensed, team-high and season-high 2.5 sacks, and one forced fumble at Dallas.

2004 PRO NFL SEASON: Started all 16 games.
• Nine tackles (four solo), and scored first career touchdown by recovering fumble in the end zone vs. New England.
• Led team with career-high 12 tackles (six solo), and 1.0 sack vs. San Francisco.
• Five tackles (three solo), and recovered fumble, returning ball 61 yards for touchdown at Arizona.
• Five tackles (four solo) in NFC Wildcard Game at Seattle 1/8/05.
• Five tackles (four solo), and sacked Falcons’ QB Michael Vick for 14-yard loss, moving into third
place on Rams’ all-time playoff list for career sacks (5.0), in NFC Divisional Playoff Game at Atlanta.

2003 PRO NFL SEASON: Earned first career Pro Bowl invitation led team for third consecutive year in sacks and ranked third in the NFC (fourth in the NFL).
•Torn pectoral muscle suffered at Pittsburgh 10/27.
•Tallied sack in the first six games of the season, only the second player to accomplish the feat since the Rams came to St. Louis, (DE Kevin Carter, 1998, Little repeated, 2001).
• Ten tackles (six solo), three QB pressures, and one forced fumble in season opener at New York Giants 9/7.
• Eight tackles (six solo), career-best four sacks, three QB pressures, and two forced fumbles against Minnesota 11/30 four-sack performance tied for second (Sean Gilbert, four vs. Pittsburgh 9/12/93) on Rams’ all-time list for sacks in a single game also added two forced fumbles against Vikings, one of which was recovered by S Aeneas Williams and returned 90 yards for a touchdown.

2002 PRO NFL SEASON: Led team in sacks for second consecutive season with 12.0 (tied for fourth in NFC, tied for seventh in NFL) in first season as full-time starter.
• First career start with seven tackles (four solo) with one for loss, game-high four QB pressures, and one sack for 9-yard loss vs. New York Giants 9/15.
• Established then-career-highs with 10 tackles (seven solo) and five QB pressures on Monday Night Football against Chicago 11/18.
• Had monster game in season finale vs. San Francisco 12/30 in leading defensive line with nine tackles (five solo), one QB pressure, season-high 2.0 sacks, and career-high three forced fumbles.

2001 PRO NFL SEASON: Had streak of seven straight games with at least one sack had at least one sack in 10 of 13 games.
• Set then-career-high against Detroit 10/8 with three sacks for 23 yards, making him first Ram with three sacks in one game since Kevin Carter at Carolina 12/3/00.
• Four tackles (one solo), led team with three special teams tackles, and made one sack for an 11-yard loss vs. Carolina 11/11.
• One solo tackle and one sack for a 3-yard loss before leaving game in third quarter with a left knee injury at New England 11/18.
• Inactive for next three games.
• Returned from injury on Monday Night Football at New Orleans 12/17 to collect five tackles (three solo) with one QB pressure and one special teams tackle, as well as 1.5 sacks for -12.5 yards.
• Playoff career-high nine tackles (five solo), three QB pressures, and one sack in Super Bowl XXXVI vs. New England 2/3.

2000 PRO NFL SEASON: Inactive for two games with ankle injury (at Seattle 9/10 and vs. San Francisco 9/17) totaled 14 tackles, including 5.0 sacks.

1999 PRO NFL SEASON: Season high four special teams tackles vs. New York Giants 12/19.

1998 PRO NFL SEASON: Inactive for four games before being placed on non-football injury list 11/17.
 

Leonard Little - COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS

• Played three seasons for University of Tennessee All-America first-team selection and All-Southeastern Conference first-team honoree in senior season.
• Started every game at middle linebacker and led Volunteers with 87 tackles and ranked second with 8.5 sacks.
• Appeared in first seven games of junior season at defensive end tallied 33 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and five tackles for losses also blocked one field goal and forced four fumbles.
• Started every game at left defensive end sophomore season recorded 62 tackles and career high 11 sacks.
• Played one season for Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kan.
• Graduated with degree in psychology.

• Born Leonard Antonio Little in Asheville, N.C.
• Started three years at linebacker and wide receiver at Asheville High earned Super Prep, Blue Chip and Prep Football Report All-America first team selections.
